Whitney Houston's school, "The Whitney Houston Academy of Creative and Performing Art in East Orange, New Jersey is a public school for kids in grades K-8. The school was named after her in the 1990's

Myron Lewis Aims High!

NFL Cornerback for Tampa Bay Buccaneer Myron Lewis with brother Hamin Milligan and NFL Carolina Panther Darius Butler at his Ismay Raymond Charity event Myron Lewis, NFL Cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, truly represents the goodness of human kind.  He is thoughtful of others and has taken his own personal experiences to heart enough to start a charity of his own, the Ismay Raymond Foundation.  His foundation's goal is to educate people about the ravishing disease of diabetes.  America is facing a diabetic epedemic.  Diabetes can attack children and adults.  For many people who don't eat properly or have poor nutritional habits and lack exercise, diabetes is a real threat to their lives. Whitney Houston Dies!

Whitney Houston, one of the greastest voices of all times in the world, was pronounced dead at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills at 3:55pm on Saturday, February 11th, 2012.  The Beverly Hills Lt., Mark Rosen, reported that there is no obvious criminal intent involved in her death at this time. 

Lt., Mark Rosen stated tht the paramedics unsuccessfully tried to revive Houston at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. 

Houston, the New Jersey native, was a guest at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and was there attending the annual Pre-Grammy party of her mentor and music industry executive, Clive Davis.  His Pre-Grammy party is legendary for bringing out the biggest and the brightest stars in the music industry. Many of them were shocked, saddened and heartbroken over her death.  Record Executive Tommy Mottola stated, " This is so heartbreaking.  We are all filled with saddness.  It is a great loss to the world, a tremendous loss."  Mottolla stated that Whitney is what is considered the "gold standard" and broke all kinds of barriers.  Mottolla stated, "It's a tragedy of a treasure that has been lost." 

Houston was slated to star in the movie "Sparkle" with Idol winner Jordan Sparks.  The movie was loosly based on the story of the "Supremes.  At press time, no one was sure of the direction of the movies' release, or even if it will be released.  After a few troubled starts, Houston's star seem to be on the rise again.  Sources who saw Houston earlier said she looked well and appeared to be happy and healthy.  Unfortunatley, something went terribly wrong in her hotel room.  It is such a shock to many that on the eve of the Grammy Awards, one of musics golden voices has died.

Successful Rapper, MC Lyte, of the LA Chapter of the Grammy Awards stated that so many people in the music industry are heartbroken over Whitney's death.  Lyte could not give much detail at the the time, but stated that the Grammy Award Show will continue and a tribute will be presented for Whitney Houston.

Exec. Producer of the Grammy Awards, Ken Ehrlich, said that the Grammy Award show will continue, but there will be some changes made in respect for Whitney Houston.  At press time R&B singer, Jennifer Hudson, is said to be performing a song in Houston's honor.  May Whitney Houston, R.I.P.

The 54th Grammy Awards Show will air on February 12, 2012 at 8/7c on CBS.

Helping Little Buddies

The Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte and the Levine Children's Hospital were the beneficiaries of over 300 new teddybears and special giftbags for the children fighting potentially terminal diseases.  The 35,000 square foot Ronald McDonald House was filled with retired and current professional athletes from various NFL teams, News media, a private chef, business owners, young students and the Ronald McDonald and Levine Children's Staff to ensure that the Celebrity Charity Wishes, "Bears for Buddies" program was a success!  Former NFL Players, Mo Collins, Leonard Wheeler, Hess Hemphsted, Stephan "Coach Q" Askew and more were on hand to help give the children the new teddybears and the giftbags full of journals, hats, scarves, socks, coloring books, jigsaw puzzels and more. 

After presenting the children at the Ronald McDonald House with their gifts, the founders, celebrity guests, NFL retired and current players, sponsors, and supporters all went to the next stop, the Levine Children's Hospital to give the children thier bears and giftbags too.

Celebrity Charity Wishes founders, Lenora Bobo, Toni Brown and Tammie Tolbert left no stone unturned when trying to provide the courageous children with teddybears and gifts.  "We are here to help put a smile on the face of a child who is fighting for their life." said Toni Brown. Lenora Bobo agreed.  "To see a parent just wishing for thier child's well being is sometimes heartbreaking, so we want to halp give them a happy smile and give them a break from all the 'serious issues" the face daily. 

All of the athletes in attendance at the event do a lot of work with various charities by voluntering their time and help.  Mo Collins, who also volunteers at the Levine Children's Hospital stated, " I am a father myself and it is an honor to be able to help these children through Celebrity Charity Wishes "Bears for Buddies" program. 

"We are honored that the children's facilities and thier families allowed us to be a part of thier child's life, said Tammie Tolbert.
